Neko’s Walkabout - Paint Colour Schemes Discovered on Our Daily Walks

Walking down one of the laneways in Toronto with Neko, I saw this old garage and I was immediately taken back to the Aussie beach shacks of my youth.

That particular pale teal exterior, usually a rusting tin roof, white trim. It’s funny how something so small can drop you straight back into your childhood.

While I have other plans for the exterior of our beach “shack” in Muskoka, this colour combination has a certain type of nostalgia that I’m totally here for.

I’ve created a colour palette from this idea of a retro, Aussie surf shack using paint colours from Benjamin Moore, as always.

  1. Mermaid’s Tale 577

  2. Simply White 2143 - 70

  3. Cinnamon 2174 - 20

  4. Baby Seal Black 2119 - 30

Don’t think you need to limit a scheme like this to the exterior of your home, bring that vintage surf vibe to the rest of your space for a really relaxed environment.
